Agreements with National Authorities
From time to time, INAB is requested or seeks to have an agreement with a National Authority which relies on accreditation as the preferred means to demonstrate competence of CABs providing accredited services under Regulation (European or National) or national requirements.
The template agreement is here.
This template is signed without amendment for the purposes of providing information exchange on the operation and performance of the scheme. The agreement will identify mandatory documents, if they exist, issued by the National Authority and assessed by INAB.
INAB signs these agreements with national authorities that rely on accreditation to support Irish or European legislation. INAB does not sign agreements with private scheme owners but co-operates with them through evaluation of their schemes, if requested. See INAB policy PS18 for further information on this.
The list of agreements and authorities is in the table below. These are reviewed annually.
It is important that Organisations providing accredited services in support of these agreements are aware of their obligations under the INAB Terms and Conditions, in particular (but not exclusively) clauses 3.17-3.19.
