Laboratories accredited by INAB to ISO 15189 cover testing in areas such as haematology, blood transfusion science, clinical chemistry, histopathology, microbiology/virology and immunology.

Once awarded accreditation, a defined scope of laboratory testing issues and is regularly reviewed.

INAB has developed a scope template to capture mandatory requirements on scope content and these may be found here, for laboratories accredited to ISO 15189 and where applicable, ISO 22870 (POCT).
