The Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) is part of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) provided for through the following legislation, Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 as amended by the Industrial Development (Forfás Dissolution) Act, 2014.
The legislation makes provision for the establishment of the Accreditation Board and the Appeals Board. To further support the accreditation service, the Accreditation Board can establish advisory committees as needed and the INAB Executive may, from time to time, establish working groups to focus on a particular technical area.
