On the 19th June, the Bon Secours Hospital (Cork), Reg No (153MT) became the first hospital blood bank to be assessed and approved for its competence to comply with the traceability and haemovigilance requirements (articles 14 & 15) of the EU Blood Directive 2002/98/EC Quality and safety of Human Blood and Blood Components.
The 13th meeting of the EA laboratory committee took place in Dubrovnik, Croatia on the 8th and 9th of March 2007. The meeting was attended by James Stapleton on behalf of INAB.
