In 2000 the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) produced a publication G12:2000, Guidelines for the Competence of Reference Materials Producers, and in 2004 ILAC at its General Assembly adopted the following resolution:
ILAC Resolution GA 8.12
The General Assembly resolves that accreditation of technically competent bodies producing reference materials with assigned values will be conducted against harmonized criteria based on ISO Guide 34 and ISO/IEC 17025 in combination.
It is INAB policy to assess reference material producers against ISO Guide 34 and ISO/IEC 17025 in combination.
