INAB Host 9th Assessor Forum

On 24th February 2022, INAB welcomed 86 participants to our first virtual forum. Our previous eight forums have all taken place in person, every 2 years.

Participation at the forum ensures that active and new assessors benefit from latest updates in policy and guidance to continue to harmonise the accreditation process.

The INAB Manager, Dr Adrienne Duff, welcomed all, and provided an overview of changes to INAB, including INAB’s new accreditation strategy, our new schemes and updates to staff resources.

Presentations were given from our deputy Quality Manager, Padraig Keane, on Assessor Systems – covering guidance on qualifications and competency entry in the CRM portal; monitoring of assessors; and GDPR and confidentiality. John Spaight, Senior Assessment Manager – outlined expectations on reporting giving an overview on scheduling and preparing for assessments; preparing reports particularly covering the series of GN01, GN02 and GN03 documents.

One hour was dedicated to four technical break-out groups including Medical, Testing and Calibration; Certification and Inspection. Senior Assessment Managers, Brid Burke, Emma McGrane, Sinead Guckian and James Stapleton led and facilitated each group discussion.

William Clarke, Senior Assessment Manager – facilitated a discussion on Remote Assessments, which provided the audience with an overview of CAB and Assessor feedback. This session included interactive polls and results that fed into the live discussion.
